Cost

The National Museums Scotland Knowledge Exchange programme is a free series of events designed to support Scotland’s museum sector. Participants will require to meet their own travel and subsistence costs.

Travel Bursary Pilot

In reponse to sector feedback, National Partnerships at National Museums Scotland are piloting a small travel bursary scheme for exclusive use of participants on the Knowledge Exchange programme. This bursary is primarily to financially support colleagues who would otherwise be unable to attend an important course from the programme. Please click here for full details and criteria.

Download the application form here and return to National Partnerships, National Museums Scotland, Chambers St, Edinburgh, EH1 1JF or partnerships@nms.ac.uk

Unfortunately due to time constraints we are unable to offer this for our August and September 2010 courses.

National Museums Scotland full catalogue of training courses

We are keen to run our events across Scotland and develop the Knowledge Exchange programme further. Below is a list of previously run courses, and we welcome suggestions for new courses as well.

We take a collaborative approach to running courses locally, in that we can provide a trainer and content if a venue is provided and local participant involvement is arranged. Some courses may need to be adapted to fit with the venue circumstances. Courses are provided according to National Museums Scotland staff availability per annum. Groups can approach us to run courses in their local area, or for more information on National Partnerships at National Museums Scotland.

Please contact Megan Combe to discuss running a course in your area on m.combe@nms.ac.uk.
