Science at National Museums Scotland
National Museums Scotland holds world-class collections relating
to science, technology and the natural sciences. We are also an
active scientific research institution, with particular expertise
in the fields of natural sciences, conservation science and history
of science and technology.
A key component in delivering our vision is being a leading
player in facilitating public engagement with science and
technology.
All of this work is set against the backdrop of large capital
redevelopments at both the National Museum of Scotland (the
Royal Museum Project) and at the
National Museum of Flight. Both of these
major investment projects will feature significant new displays,
facilities and programmes to enhance our interpretation around
topics of science, technology and innovation.
Our publication, Science at National Museums Scotland,
shows how through our many exhibitions, programmes and events we
are delivering our vision of being a leader in enabling public
engagement with science and technology. This publication is
available to download on this page.
