Volunteers programme
National Museums Scotland has approximately 200 volunteers
making a valuable contribution to our work.
There are opportunities to volunteer at most of our museums.
Volunteers help in many of our departments and play an important
role, increasing our visitors' enjoyment and understanding of our
collections.
You can discover more about our range of volunteering
programmes, which fall into the following categories:
Volunteering
Volunteering opportunities are open to individuals aged over 16
years. Volunteer placements may be available on a short or
long-term basis. Find out more.
Work placements and internships
For higher education students aged over 18 years.
Placements are requested as part of a formal course of study.

Work experience
Our work experience programme is for school students age 15-18.
We're now inviting applications for placements from October 2010
