The Royal Museum Project

The Victorian Royal Museum building has entered an exciting period of refurbishment, and is due to reopen in 2011. The £46m project is being part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Scottish Government, with additional funding raised by National Museums Scotland. All events which take place in the museum contribute towards this vital project.

Substantial changes are planned, with the current basement becoming an elegant and spacious vaulted entrance hall with event space, dedicated cloakrooms, shop, café and support facilities for future events. The Main Hall itself will increase in size and will afford clients the chance to host seated banquets and awards dinners for up to 900 guests.
